Breaking : Ed Sheeran Apologises to Fans and Says "I Have Made Mistakes" After Macklemore Tour Controversy Singer Ed Sheeran has apologised to fans for making "mistakes" as he handled the fallout from rapper Macklemore being dropped from his tour over pro-Palestinian remarks. Sheeran addressed the controversy on stage Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia , his first show since the row erupted. WMO Warns: "Very Strong" El Niño Expected, Extreme Weather Risk Through 2027

Breaking : WMO Warns: "Very Strong" El Niño Expected, Extreme Weather Risk Through 2027

GENEVA: The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said on Thursday that El Niño is forecast to become "very strong" in the coming months, increasing the risk of extreme weather events through 2027.

According to the WMO, the powerful climate pattern is expected to bring higher global temperatures, intense heatwaves, droughts in some regions, and heavy rainfall and floods in others.

El Niño is a natural climate phenomenon that warms ocean surface temperatures in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean. It typically disrupts weather patterns worldwide and can worsen storms, wildfires, and food insecurity.

The WMO warned that the combined effect of a strong El Niño and ongoing climate change could push global temperatures to new records and increase the frequency of disasters over the next two years.

Governments and communities have been urged to strengthen early warning systems and disaster preparedness plans to reduce the impact.
